our community

and our cabin

The safety of our community is a

big concern to us. Grand Marais is a very small town with an extremely tight community that warmly welcomes visitors, but also takes very good care of its own people.

As hosts, we want our guests to feel comfortable and welcome in our town. In order to keep our community safe and to ensure that your experience here will be the best as possible during this time, please carefully read the Cook County Visitor Pledge

Most businesses are closed or operating curbside pick-up only. Please consider bringing your own groceries and any kind of supplies you may need.

The cleanliness of our cabin has always been our main priority throughout the years and the current situation makes us even more attentive to it. We want you to know that we’re doing our part to help our Airbnb guests stay safe by cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces (light switches, doorknobs, cabinet handles, remotes, etc.) before you check in.

To ensure the safety of our cleaners and also guests coming after you, please carefully note the following changes:

  1. All guests are required to bring their own: pillows, blankets, fitted and top sheets, pillow cases, bath towels, hand towels, kitchen towels and any other items you may need during your stay. There will NOT be linens available in the cabin.

  2. All guests are required to dispose their own garbage. A garbage can will be located behind the cabin. (Unfortunately the local recycling center facility has very limited hours so we will not collect recycled items at this time).

  3. A spray bottle with bleach solution will be on the kitchen counter. Please use it at check-in (if you would like), and also before check-out. The areas suggested to be wiped down are: kitchen countertop, table top, door knobs, light switches, tv remote, faucets. Please DO NOT spray any wooden or fabric areas.
